I am interested in what is not obvious. The space through or around the object is as important as what is left for us to see. Sometimes the form is unknown but the process is trusted. Stone carving is an organic, rhythmic process. Trying to understand its weakness, while knowing this may be its strengths. What is not present is as important as what is.
My recent works are about that empty space becoming full. Giving it form and in some ways a purpose. A way for it to interact with its environment. For us to explore the union of water and stone.
